Welcome
to our new website. Redrawn, rewritten, rethought, completely
revised to serve you better than ever. This is ME V2.0! BUT NOT YET COMPLETED! There are still a few loose ends... Sorry!
What is Muzik Elektronix?
Muzik Elektronix is a multi-faced business, specialized
in music electronics. Muzik Elektronix repairs, restores
& builds electronic musical instruments, be it analog
or digital, vintage or new. No job is too small!
Muzik
Elektronix is based in Sherbrooke, Qc, Canada. The company
is owned, administrated & operated by Stéphane
Jutras, a long-time active member in the electronic music
& synthesizer community. Muzik Elektronix is a small business but even though his size, Muzik Elektronix is genuinely dedicated to his customers. Muzik Elektronix knows what the musician wants: we are musicians ourselves!
The
Muzik Elektronix's customers
With
hard work, Muzik Elektronix has transcendented the canadian
borders to reach the USA, Europe, Middle East... and Australia.

Muzik Elektronix is self-financed
Since the early days, Muzik Elektronix had no other sources of financing than itself. But you can help Muzik Elektronix to grow and add more services, more products and hire more technicians & engineers to serve you even better but also to develop new products at a competitive price. We have tons of ideas (and demands) but we lack the money (and time, due to a limited personnel) to make it all happens. Show your belief in Muzik Elektronix today by sending a donation. No amount is too small.
With your support, we can keep prices low and we can count on the necessary funds for R&D. In other words, we can do much more than we could on our own, self-financed as we currently are.
Every now and then, people are wondering and moaning about the dispearance of small businesses: "It was such a cool idea. Why did they closed down?". Small businesses have to fight hard and work themselves to burn-out to stay in the game. A business is costy. Everything costs more to a small business than to a common individual. And the financing is hard to get if you're not a big corporation or if you are operating in such as niche as we do. Sadly, the Bureaucrats don't see any future in anything that doesn't generate millions in profit. That's why small businesses are usually the matter of 2-3 owners pitching in dough. Muzik Elektronix has only one owner who pays for everything. Finding another partner is better said than done.
Muzik Elektronix invites you in an open-business type, where the public can directly help a small business out. If in the early days Bob Moog or Tom Oberheim or Dave Smith would have asked you for help, what would you have done? Turn a cold shoulder on them?
Food for thought: if synthesizers are so pricey, it's not what's inside: it what it costs to design it & produce it.
Thank you for your generosity!

__________
You might not have heard of Muzik Elektronix yet and it's normal. We don't do much publicity. We rely on word of mouth and on the Internet. A satisfied customer will tell another...
__________
Customers are always requesting us to come up with alternative to pricey gears. We would if we could. Don't forget that our staff is limited and we can't do everything, even if we wanted to. We must have more hands and more heads to do so. That's where your contribution comes in. Being the only person paying for everything, I am extremely restricted in my actions. Muzik Elektronix is essentially just one man: Stéphane Jutras, an electronic technician who decided one day to do what he loves- working on synthesizers. Maybe if Roland, Yamaha, Korg or else were closer, not only I'd work in what I really want to do but I'd get a really good salary too. Now I do what I want to do... but I am far from having the salary of one of those technicians. Do the maths!
